Some favourite spots in Copenhagen we recommend you visit

THANK YOU for taking a look here!

One of our favourite cities is (you guessed it) Copenhagen - why?

The city has a lot to offer in terms of its history as a hub for trade, travel and its interconnectedness of the sea, harbour and that special vibe of the Copenhagener's whom loves their "hygge" - a sort of chill'ness when we hang out with friends and family, often sharing drinks or food. The city has lots of parks, open outdoor areas, historic sites and the usual local cafe's as well as international fine dining at top level. The little mermaid, and our iconic designers particularly within architecture and furniture i.e. the egg by Arne Jacobsen.

The city blends new and old well and the harbour and beaches offers open spaces and a chance to swim always near by. Concerts, outdoor activities and of course a real trademark for >100 years is that we bike, we bike a lot as it is the fastest way to get around centrally and you get a bit of exercise as well.

Denmark has a lot of tourists, Tivoli and Strøget among some of the top spots to visit, buy also jump in a kayak or rent a boat and see the city from the seaside.

Our brand is very much inspired by our new and older parts of Copenhagen city with its variated architecture. However living here also means fall and winter is wet, dark and windy - and the elements must be considered every time we are outdoors, quality footwear and clothes is essential for this time of the year.

Several things make up a culture, and people choose their own view and ideas, and we of course have our passions and interests.

For us it is natural to embed the appropriate level of technical protection in our merchandise, we want our designs to stand out and have some longevity, as well as every item must withstand the elements, be durable and of high quality. This is really a part of our mission.

We will play within the "active fashion lifestyle' and it is our aim to expand our collections from our present watch collection into a fuller jewellery and sunglass line that compliments it. Later we see more accessories being developed and we are already taking steps to develop ready to wear & footwear which we hope to launch in the new year.

Our main focus is to combine style and function - our style which inherently is Danish and Nordic inspired.

For those visiting Copenhagen as tourists, we are fully aware that Tripadvisor and many other tourist guides does the job. However we like to share with you some of our favourite places for design, food, hotel, sports, music, events, sailing, tours etc of which some likely will not be found in the mainstream.

A special area and place for us is of course the island HOLMEN, which is an island that used to host the Navy. Today the area and surrounding islands that is part of the Copenhagen harbour full of creative businesses, dining, sport, concerts etc. Away from the hustle of the centre of Copenhagen it feels a bit more spacious and relaxed as there is very few cars out here. You probably already noticed the huge amounts of people biking. Biking is the fastest way to get around while getting some exercise, and this has been a tradition of the Copenhagener's for many years.

We certainly recommend that you rent a bike, ideally go with a tour operator, and take some tips in advance on how you keep safe, as traffic and pace is quite high!

Next to HOLMEN is Refshaleøen (The letter 'Ø' means Island in Danish). You can get here by foot, bike or take a yellow public boat from Nyhavn to get here.

This is truly a great spot for all people, this includes children as well. The food market, the stands, indoor and outdoor paddle tennis, indoor rock climbing, Kayking, Bungee Jump, sauna, ice baths, beer, wine, cocktails, sports bars, large indoor and outdoor screens, and very often concerts and events like CopenHell.

You'll also find Copenhill where you can ski on artificial grass and next door there is water skiing and wake boarding on two line tracks. You'll find a very relaxed ambience, great food options, more space and a solid chill factor out here :)

The Paper Island

For over 300 years, the island has been used as a reservoir for a wide range of important functions for the city: from shipyards to military hospitals, cannon storage, cold storage and paper storage. Today, most Copenhageners best remember the time of paper storage, which gave Christiansholm its current nickname: PAPER ISLAND.

It was only a few years ago that the island became accessible to ordinary Copenhageners, and the island's temporary food market in particular was a great success. For over 300 years, the island was a closed area - alternately owned by the state, the navy, industry and the port - and in a very short time, PAPIRØEN became a new cultural center and a popular excursion destination.

In the coming years, PAPIRØEN will go on another journey, when the island is developed into a new city district with innovative architecture, a water culture center, international hotel, food hall, housing and unique cultural offerings. All surrounded by a new harbor promenade with recreational activities.

The island is located on the new axis of experiences, gastronomy and culture, connecting classic Copenhagen with all the newer offerings on Holmen and Refshaleøen.

With an inviting mix of culture, food concepts and recreational activities, PAPIRØEN will be Copenhagen's new urban breathing space surrounded by water - in the best location in the inner harbor.
