OUR NAME
A HOLM or HOLMEN in Scandinavian language means a small island or islet near the shore.
Across the Scandinavian peninsula there is more than >600.000 islands and islets - HOLMEN is in fact everywhere
The text "Understand backwards, live forwards" is by Danish philosopher and writer Søren Kirkegaard, we sort of try to keep this in mind :)

Our design philosophy is deeply personal—rooted in the effortless simplicity and open-minded spirit of Nordic design, with an unwavering dedication to details. Every piece we create is a reflection of our belief in balance: where style & material meets meticulous craftsmanship. The test we face is within the proof of our merchandise being validated and appreciated by the wearer, only then will we category expand as we aim to build a purposeful community around our brand. We are looking to climb the below mountain and look forward to learn and celebrate each step of the way, as we connect more and more with the community we serve and are a part of. Having fun, creating aspirational designs and a brand that respects our nature and is active is the mission.
Copenhagen is our base and in the heart of the city we have the habour, the canals where old and new architecture meets. As soon as the sun is out people are gathering close to the sea, swim and enjoy the laid back feeling of Copenhagen. The HOLMEN main island is in this area, close to Reffen and the Paper Island is a part of the city we love. The Danes commute by feet, bike, boat and busses mainly.
